Daniel's interest in writing began at a young age, and he later served as a reporter and editor for Little Rock Central High School’s Tiger Newspaper. He graduated cum laude from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a B.A. in mass communication and previously served as a reporter and anchor for National Public Radio member station KUAR in Little Rock.
In his spare time, Daniel enjoys playing guitar, drinking copious amounts of coffee, and exploring the wilderness of Arkansas.
